At 132lbs, Lu Hao is already five times the size of a normal child his age.

The three-year-old toddler from China eats a staggering THREE bowls of rice when he sits down for a family meal.

When Lu Hao was born he weighed just 2.6kg (5.7 lbs), however, from the time he was three months old he began to gain weight rapidly.

"His appetite is so good that for a meal he can eat 3 big bowls of rice, even larger than I and his mother," said Hao's father Lu Yuncheng.

No matter how hard the family restricts Hao's diet and pushes him to move more the toddler has still managed to put on 10kg (22 lbs) in the past year.

Lu Hao hates walking to school and often opts for a ride instead. He does like swimming however

Hao hates walking and each day his mother takes him to kindergarten on a motorcycle.

"He is quite happy that I could ride him to kindergarten instead of walking him there," said Yuan.

"Doctors said his hormones are at a normal level. It's hard to know why he could be so big."

"We now worry the most about his health. As if he continues to grow at this rate his heart could fail," said Yuan.

They also worry that when he gets older and more aware of his weight Hao will be bullied.

"Our biggest hope is one day Hao could get slim," said Chen.

A mother who collapsed and fell into a coma just 10 days after taking her newborn baby home, woke up a week later with no recollection that she had given birth, or even had a boyfriend.

Stevie Caffrey, 20, collapsed on the bathroom floor in Netherton, Merseyside, due to a rare heart condition last November.

Her heart and kidneys were shutting down due to a condition known as 'peripartum cardiomyopathy', which affects just one in 15,000 new mothers.

Doctors placed her in an induced coma for four weeks to help her recover, but when she awoke in mid-December she had no idea who her nearest and dearest were.

She said: 'I remember Andy sitting there holding my hand and he went out the room and I gestured to the nurse "who's that?".

'She said "It's your boyfriend". I thought "I haven't got a boyfriend" and she said my dad was coming with the baby. I thought "I haven't got a baby".'

Doctors had woken her from the coma to stop long-term memory loss setting in. At first Stevie experienced strange hallucinations and was unable to speak.

Thankfully her memory was jogged after a few days with Andy and her father Lyndon by her bedside and later that week she began communicating through writing and lip reading.

Maisie was born on November 5 last year but after just three days Lyndon, who works for Delta Taxis, and Andy became worried when Stevie started being sick.

When she collapsed at 2.30am on November 15, paramedics took her to Fazakerley Hospital.

After a blood test, she was rushed to Liverpool Women's hospital at 5am.

Andy said: 'They thought her appendix was ruptured. But then I was told to go out of the room because her heart had stopped. It did not seem real.'

Stevie was resuscitated, rushed to the Royal Liverpool Hospital and taken straight to the operating theatre.

Andy said he watched in disbelief as her body swelled up.

He said: 'She had eyes like a gecko. I almost broke down crying.'

Doctors referred Stevie to specialists at Wythenshawe Hospital, in Manchester, and she was taken there by a police escort.

Surgeons operated on her heart and put her on the list for a transplant, but unable to risk the wait, they put a ventricular assist system into the left side of her heart instead to help it function.

Stevie woke up in mid-December but it was another three months before she could return home to Maisie, who was being looked after by Andy's mum and Stevie's grandmother and aunt.

Stevie said: 'I was upset because I had not seen her for a long time.'

'Knowing other people were looking after her, I thought she was going to call Andy's mum Mummy.

'She is my baby - how was I going to feel if she called anyone else Mummy?'

Stevie finally left hospital three weeks ago. Doctors gave her a portable monitor that measures her heart rhythm and are hopeful she will remain stable and will not need a heart transplant for some time.

Andy said: 'It is up to her from now on. The doctors have done the most they could.'

The new mother, who is due to start a dance course at college, said: 'The last two months were horrible. I just wanted to come home. I did not think I would be here.'

Thai couples kiss during a competition for the 'World's Longest Continous Kiss' to mark Valentine's Day in the Thai resort area of Pattaya on February 13, 2011. Fourteen couples took part in the kissing marathon in the hope of breaking the Guinness world.
Fourteen couples began the contest. Seven couples still going for the title have surpassed the previous world record—32 hours, seven minutes and 14 seconds set in Germany two years ago 2009.

However, one couple surpassed the rest: Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat kissed for 46 hours, 24 minutes and nine seconds, far exceeding the previously-held world record.
They win a grand prize of $3,250 and a diamond ring.
Participants were required to provide proof of marriage or whether they were truly a couple—a letter from both parents or a marriage certificate was acceptable, according to World Records Academy .
The rules for this record involves not parting lips at any time, although one can sip liquids through straws. Couples cannot sit or sleep.
"I'm glad we could set a new record," said Somporn Naksuetrong, general manager of the Louis Tussaud's Waxworks Museum in the resort of Pattaya, which hosted the Valentine's Day event, according to Bangkok Post.
"But at the same time I'm worried for our contestants," he added, "they looked really tired. We've already prepare medical services ready for them."

The owners of Sears Tower in Chicago have installed a glass box viewing platforms which stick out of the building 103 floors up. The glass balcony is suspended 1,353 feet in the air and jut out four feet from the building's skydeck.The boxes jut out four feet from the building and were specifically designed to make visitors feel as if they are floating.

The Skydeck attracts 25,000 visitors on clear days. They each pay $15 to take an elevator ride up to the 103rd floor of the 110-story office building that opened in 1973. The balconies are 10ft high and 10ft wide, can hold five tons, and have glass which is 1.5 inch thick. Architect Ross Wimer said: 'We did studies that showed a four-foot-deep (1.2 metres) enclosure makes you feel like you're floating since there's only room for one row of people, not two.'

John Huston, one of owners of Sears Towers said, "Look at all those tiny things that are usually huge.I Felt little queasy the first time i ventured out on to the balcony. Wearing specially designed in-line skates, Dirk Auer made the attempt at the Trips Drill theme park in Stuttgart, Germany. Reaching speeds of 90 kph, Mr Auer skated the 860 metre track in just over one minute.

"This was a very dangerous stunt because there were so many factors to consider," said the 36-year-old, who conquered the rickety ride last weekend.

"The roller caster is wooden and so unlike rides made from iron and steel there was always a chance of the odd nail or screw that would not be entirely flat.

"If the skates were to catch a stray nail then I could have fallen and I would almost certainly have died."

Spending two months planning the outrageous stunt, Dirk also designed and made the monster skates, which took him a total of 110 hours work.

For Dirk however, there was no room for error.
I used 16 rolls on each shoe," says Dirk, "When I reached the first drop I was 30 metres high and this allowed me to reach speeds of 90 km/h on descent.

"After this some of the sides were so high that at times I was at 90 degrees and so it was very important to have as much traction as possible.

"Luckily everything went according to plan - it was a lot of fun."

Dirk, from Gross-Gerau near Frankfurt, is considered to be the most extreme inline-skater in the world.

He already holds the world record for reaching speeds of 307 km/h as he was dragged along behind a Porsche GT2 and has raced down a roller-coaster wearing only his skates.

AmphiCoach has not published the final details of the production version, but the prototype is based on a chassis Irisbus Italy. A redesigned outer shell gives the AmphiCoach to stable, seaworthy hull, and a unique look on the road, Iveco and a common-rail engine provides power. Pricing is set at £ 280,000 in the UK.
